Boulbonne Abbey is a former Cistercian abbey.

Founded in Mazères in the 12th century, then destroyed during the wars of religion, the abbey was rebuilt in Cintegabelle from the 17th century.

Boulbonne Abbey has been qualified in the encyclopedia Gallia Christiana from 1785 as ".the most austere and perhaps the most radiant of all the monasteries of Occitania.".

After the revolutionary period, the abbey kept a third of its imposing structure. And since 1842, the abbey of Boulbonne has been maintained by the Moulas family, under the supervision of the Historic Monuments.
